These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CardWire API and website (the "Service"), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("CardWire", "we", "us"), registered in [COUNTRY / JURISDICTION]. By creating an account, generating an API key, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

CardWire provides a REST API that returns trading card game data such as cards, sets, images, and prices. We may add, change, or remove endpoints and data over time. We aim for high availability but the Service is provided without an uptime guarantee unless agreed separately in writing.

2. Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for keeping your API key secret and for all activity under it. Do not share keys or attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or authentication. We may revoke keys that are abused.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Service to break the law or infringe third-party rights.
• Do not exceed the rate limits or daily quotas of your plan, or attempt to bypass metering.
• Do not resell or redistribute the raw dataset as a competing bulk-data product. Building applications on top of the API is encouraged.
• Commercial use requires a paid plan; the Free tier is for evaluation and non-commercial use.

4. Intellectual property

Card names, artwork, and game content are the property of their respective publishers. CardWire is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any game publisher. You are responsible for ensuring your use of card data and imagery complies with the rights of those publishers.

5. Plans, billing, and changes

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices and plan limits are described on our pricing page and may change with reasonable notice. Taxes may apply depending on your location.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Card data, including prices, may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be relied upon for financial decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
